Colonic Treatments

Consultations, Gift Certificates and More

What to expect at your first colonic visit:

You start by filling out a questionnaire about your past medical history that makes sure that it’s safe for you to get a colonic. Then if you’re cleared, you strip down and put on one of those sexy paper gowns that ties up at the back and leaves your tush on show. You lie down on a bed facing away from the therapist, with your legs tucked up towards your body – a bit like the fetal position. Then the lubricated tube is inserted into your rectum. From this point onwards the therapist guides the flow of the warm, clean, filtered water into your colon and then clamps down on the tube to allow the water to circulate and get to those hard-to-reach areas. At this point you can see and feel your stomach getting bigger and you’ll suddenly feel like you need to go for a release. This is when the water is released and it flushes out and with it draws out waste material, toxins and trapped gas. At some point your therapist might want to try massaging the stomach to help move the water around to shift trapped gas. Once the therapist is happy that everything that can be done that day has been completed, they will remove the tube and tell you to go to the bathroom that’s attached to the treatment room. Prepare yourself, because the water has got to come out. You have to sit there until you feel like you’ve emptied yourself out. The treatment lasts between 45 minutes and an hour.

How to prepare for a colonic:

The Day Of Your Treatment

Keep it light! Depending on the time of your appointment, you’ll want to allow yourself at least 2 hours free of eating or juicing prior to your session. Keep in mind that it’s not optimal to eat heavy meals or processed foods before a colonic. Keep it simple!

Here are some foods to avoid as you prepare for your session and after it as well:

  • Carbonated beverages such as soda, seltzer, and sparkling water.
  • Red meat.
  • Cheese, milk, and other dairy products.
  • Soy products.
  • Processed meats and foods
After your colonic session:

After your session, we recommend probiotics. During a colonic some of the good bacteria, along with the bad, may be eliminated from your colon. The probiotics will re-inoculate your system with the good bacteria you need. You may want to sit and relax with us for some time after your session, and have a cup of tea or a piece of fruit until you feel you have finished eliminating and fully replenished your system and energy level.

We ask that you eat very light, pure and easy-to-digest foods for the remainder of the day. Try to stay away from raw, overly rich, heavy foods. You have just cleansed your system and we suggest that you allow your body the time it needs to rest and relax, so it can go to work to heal you, rather than go to work digesting rich meals. Please try to stay away from alcohol; it will go directly to your head and may cause a stomachache because it is just too strong for your freshly cleansed system.

It is fine to carry on with your normal daily plans or to return to work, as you will feel fine. Most people feel energetic, light and in a very positive mood after a cleansing.

I can’t remember what I sent but here is some more info if needed.
